Private coaching built around your game

Our 1–1 coaching gives every player dedicated time with an experienced Sixers coach, with each session designed around the individual rather than a set coaching programme.

Whether you are new to hard-ball cricket, looking to improve your club performances or preparing for representative and county cricket, we build sessions around where your game is now and where you want it to go.

Every player is different. Our coaches will identify the areas that can make the biggest difference to your game and create focused sessions with clear purpose and plenty of high-quality practice.

Sessions can cover:

• Batting: technique, movement, decision-making, scoring options, playing spin and seam, and preparation for match situations.
• Seam bowling: technique, run-up, alignment, consistency, movement, pace development and bowling plans.
• Spin bowling: action, control, variations, revolutions, tactical understanding and plans for different batters.
• Wicketkeeping: stance, movement, receiving, standing back or up to the stumps, takes against spin and seam, and match-specific skills.
• All-round development: technical work alongside tactical understanding, confidence, decision-making and game awareness.

A coaching team with specialist expertise

Our coaching team combines professional playing experience, specialist knowledge and years of coaching players from grassroots cricket through to performance pathways.

Players can work with coaches specialising across batting, seam bowling, spin bowling and wicketkeeping. This allows us to match each player with the coach best suited to their goals and the areas they want to develop.

For players who train regularly with us, 1–1 coaching also gives the coach the opportunity to track progress over time, build from previous sessions and create a more consistent development plan throughout the winter.

Regular block bookings

Players can enquire about securing a regular weekly coaching slot throughout the winter. A consistent slot allows the player and coach to work towards longer-term goals, review progress and develop different areas of the game over a series of sessions.

Regular slots are subject to coach and facility availability.

One-off sessions

You do not need to commit to a weekly block. One-off private coaching sessions are also available throughout the season where our coaches have availability. These are ideal for players wanting to work on a particular area of their game, prepare for an upcoming trial or fixture, or simply add some focused practice alongside club training.

Other private coaching options

• Small-group coaching: train with 2–5 players while still receiving focused technical coaching. A great option for teammates or friends who want to develop together, with the session cost shared between the group.
• Sidearm sessions: focused, high-volume batting practice designed to provide quality repetitions, specific scenarios and purposeful preparation beyond a typical club net.

Who is private coaching for?

Private coaching is available to players of all ages and abilities. We coach juniors taking their first steps into hard-ball cricket, established club players, adults looking to improve their game and players involved in regional, representative and county pathways.

The level of the player changes the content of the session — not the level of attention they receive.

Prices & enquiries

Private coaching costs between £45 and £70 per hour, depending on the coach and session.

Complete the enquiry form with the player's age, current playing level, the areas they would like to work on, preferred days/times and preferred coach if they have one. Our team will then help match the player with the most suitable coach and available slot.
